Wilson Maldonado

Wilson Maldonado, 66, died peacefully on January 18, 2026.

Born and raised in Trenton, Wilson was a graduate of Trenton High School and remained deeply connected to his community throughout his life.

Often described as a “jack of all trades,” Wilson believed in mastering the core of everything he did. He was known for his versatility and ability to connect with people from all walks of life.

A devoted Christian, Wilson’s faith was central to his life. He loved God deeply and remained spiritually grounded, often finding comfort in scripture. One of his favorite verses was Psalm 91:1: “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.”

Wilson met his beloved wife, Cynthia , in Trenton when he was 17 years old and she was 14. Their early connection grew into a marriage built on faith and family.

Family was Wilson’s greatest joy. He cherished spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He especially loved riding his bike with his grandchildren, being outdoors, relaxing on the porch talking with friends, and watching television; particularly the show “The Voice.” He was outgoing and a people person, he found togetherness in conversation.

Wilson also had a passion for Cadillac cars, took pride in his appearance, and never missed a chance to keep a fresh haircut. He enjoyed simple pleasures, including cheesecake and cheese steaks brought by his children when they visited, which always brought a smile to his face.

Surviving are his dear mother, Trinidad Maldonado, his wife Cynthia Maldonado, his children, Sunshine, Elizabeth, Christian, Antonio, Joshua, his fifteen grandchildren, four great-granddaughters, and twelve siblings.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Avenue, Somerville. Prayers beginning at 10:00 AM.

Interment to follow at New Cemetery, 192 S. Bridge Street, Somerville.
