William "Bill" J. Stenger died April 28 at RWJ at Somerset in Somerville. Bill was the son of the late William and Helen (Kupcha) Stenger. He was a life long resident of Manville and after graduation from Manville High School, Bill served in the United States Army. He was employed for over 30 years at American Cyanamid, Bound Brook and later was an Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Specialist for Sears in Watchung.
Mr. Stenger's passions included fishing, motorcycles and collecting and working on antique cars. He was a member of the American Legion Post 12 of Somerville and the Eagles Aerie # 2137 of Bridgewater. His son, Jeffrey Joseph Stenger, predeceased him in 1993.
Surviving are his wife Pamela (Case) Stenger, his daughter Michelle Stenger and his beloved granddaughter Jessica Lynn Johnson, a sister Maryann Wills and many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-laws and friends.
Visitation from 7pm-9pm on Friday, May 1, at the Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville. Funeral Service 10am on Saturday, May 2, at the funeral home followed by an interment at St. Bernard Cemetery, Bridgewater.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bill's memory to the American Cancer Society.
