William "Billy" J. Brown

William “Billy” J. Brown, 66, died peacefully on April 17, 2023.

Born in Somerville to the late William and Maryana Brown, Billy spent most of his life in New Jersey, also living in Colorado from the late 70’s to early 80’s and spending time in Orlando, Florida to attend the Marine Mechanic Institute.

Billy spent the majority of his professional career working as a marine mechanic, also functioning as a proud Boat Captain. He also owned and operated his own towing business.

In his spare time, Billy was very active outdoors. He enjoyed motocross riding, fishing, boating, and was a lover of all animals. He was also musically talented, and loved drumming, listening to music, and singing. He was an avid history buff, especially when it came to American history.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Maryana Brown. Surviving are his son, Jesse Brown of Indianapolis, and his sister, Stacie Baxter and husband Mark of Massachusetts.

A memorial service will be held from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Friday, April 28, 2023, at Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Avenue, Somerville.
