Verna Jean Ancellotti, 86, died December 12 at home. "Jean," as she was known was born in Martinburg, PA and resided in Bridgewater most of her life before moving to Virginia Beach in 2015, where she was lovingly cared for by her daughter Susan Maureen. She was a former receptionist for Somerset Medical Center, now RWJ at Somerset in Somerville. Her memberships include the Sweet Adelines, Finderne First Aid Squad Ladies Auxiliary and Project Linus.

Her husband John predeceased her as well as her daughter, Karen Franks and siblings Arlene and Mildred. Surviving are her sons, Colin, Tim, Sean, Pete, Brion and Stephen Franks and her daughters Susan Ledoux and Dee Stein, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

​Visiting hours on Thursday, December 20, from 7pm-9pm. Funeral Service on Friday, December 21, at 11am at The First United Methodist Church, 48 West High Street, Somerville. Interment to follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Union Ave., Somerville.
