Thomas James O’Keefe, 42, lost his life on July 2, 2026 after a courageous and exhausting battle with advanced Lyme disease and his struggle with the overwhelming grief in the death of his beloved brother, Robert O’Keefe, Jr.
Born in Somerville he grew up in Bridgewater and attended Bridgewater Raritan High School.
He went on to earn a certificate in Construction Technology and joined the family concrete and masonry business. Tom was meticulous in details, preparing estimates and knowledgeable on building techniques. He was proud to work alongside his father and brother.
Recently, he settled in Branchburg and adopted his dog, Louie, who accompanied him everywhere. Tom enjoyed riding his motorcycle, quads, dirt bike riding, and kayaking.
His kind nature and soft reserve will be remembered with love by all he leaves behind.
He was welcomed to heaven by his beloved brother, Robert O’Keefe, Jr., his loving grandparents Nicholas and Marie O’Keefe, and James and Katherine Nulty, and his dear step-mother Lucinda O’Keefe.
Surviving are his beloved mother, Grace DelRocco and husband Steve, his loving father, Robert O’Keefe, Sr., his dear nephews Robert Neil O’Keefe, III and Ryan Thomas O’Keefe, sister Carol Ann Fugitt and husband Mark, stepbrothers Jamie DelRocco and Frank DelRocco, stepsister, Katie Kelly, his partner Liz Grayovski, as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Visitation will be held from 4:00PM to 8:00PM on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Avenue, Somerville.
Funeral services will begin at 10:00AM on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery, Bridgewater.
Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the American Legion Post 327, 77 Old York Rd, Bridgewater, NJ 08807
