Thomas P. Costello

Thomas P. Costello, 83, died peacefully on October 8, 2024.

Born in Ashley, PA to the late John and Elizabeth Costello, nee Gaughan, he was proudly raised in Elizabeth, and was a graduate of Roselle High School where he was an All State basketball player. He went on to attend Rutgers College and met and married the mother of his children, Patricia. They raised their family eventually settling in Bridgewater. He worked in the plastics industry for over thirty years, ever evolving with the advancement in technology he always kept pace with developments. He spent many of those years working as an Executive for C.R. Bard in Murray Hill NJ before concluding his career as President and CEO of Automatic Injection Molding in Berkley Heights.

Tom was an avid golfer, playing anywhere there was green, creating memories with lifelong friends, and stories that will be passed down for years to come. He was a talented cook with a sophisticated palate. He enjoyed quality time spent with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He found companionship and love for more than thirty years with Anna Columbus who he enjoyed traveling with, especially to Puerto Vallarta. They resided together in Branchburg NJ. He had a quick witted sense of humor and was known by all as being a master of the Irish Exit.

Tom lost his beloved son Brian in 1991 and was preceded in death by his siblings, Jack, Terry, Betty, Maureen, and Sharon.

Surviving are his loving children Tom Costello and wife Christine, Sean Costello and wife Denise, Sharon Costello and husband Kenny Brooks, his dear companion Anna Columbus, his cherished grandchildren Katherine, Bridget, Brian, and Caroline, his dear brother Bob Costello and his wife Eloise, as well as his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 5:00PM on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Avenue, Somerville.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, October 14, 2024 at the funeral home. Family and friends are welcome to gather beginning at 10:00AM.

Interment will follow at Neshanic Cemetery, Hillsborough.
