Theodore "Teddy" Sadowski passed away peacefully on September 24. Mr. Sadowski was a life long resident of Somerville. He retired from John-Manville after many years and then worked for 10 years as a custodian at Van Derveer School in Somerville where he was known to students as "Mr.Ted". A Navy Veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Sadowski served aboard the USS THE SULLIVANS (DD-537). He was a member of American Legion Post 12, the Quarter Century Club of JM and the Bound Brook Homing Pigeon Club. Ted and his late brother John were known in Somerville as an experts in racing and homing pigeons, a pastime they both so much enjoyed. His siblings Michael, John, Joseph, Genevieve Sponaes, Helen Sadowski, Sophie Grigoletti and Ann Sadowski predeceased him. Survivng are two brothers Chester and Benjamin Sadowski and many nieces, nephews, grand and great nieces and nephews. Visiting hours from 2pm-5pm on Sunday, September 27, at the Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville. Funeral Service 10am on Monday, September 28, at the funeral home followed by an interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Manville.
