Steven Gerard Greig

May 7, 1962 — September 19, 2022

Steven Gerard Greig, 60, entered into eternal rest on September 19, 2022.

Born and raised in Somerville, to the late William Jr. and Joan Greig (nee Nulty), he was a graduate of Somerville High School, Class of 1980. He enjoyed the memories of summers on LBI at his family’s beach house and getaways to Woodloch Pines. Steven spent 19 years at National Starch and Akzo/Nobel, before working at Bridgewater Motor Works. Most recently he was the #1 dishwasher at Fiddlers Elbow Country Club. Steven was a kind soul who enjoyed the simple things in life like dancing at family weddings, cooking, and drawing. He was active with Somerset County Therapeutic Recreation and Somerset County Special Olympics Bowling where he enjoyed the activities and made many friends. He had a love of the oldies, whether it was I Love Lucy and old game shows on TV or the music of the 50’s and 60’s. Steven had a positivity about him that radiated to everyone who was in his company. He loved his family above all things and cherished the time and memories they had together. Steven was a parishioner of The Church of The Immaculate Conception in Somerville and was devout in his faith. He left his family and friends with a legacy of love and light and they are better for knowing and having him in their lives.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, William Jr. and Joan Greig, and his dear brother Ron Greig.

Surviving are his loving siblings, Karen Greig, Bill Greig and wife Cathy, Joni Muniz and husband Fred, Jim Greig and wife Colleen, and Ken Greig, sister in law Meryl Greig, his cherished nieces and nephews, Christopher, Ryan, Kevin, Allison and husband Mike, Jeffrey and wife Lyndsay, Shauna, Danny, Kerri, Traci and husband Sean, Maggie and husband LJ, Molly, Katie and husband Eric, Claire, RJ and Connor, his adored great nieces and nephews, Livia, Matty, Harper, Cassidy, Carson, JP, and Lina, as well as his extended family and dear friends.
