Starr Valentine

Starr Valentine passed away on July 26th, at St. Clares Hospital, Dover, New Jersey. Starr was born on December 21, 1954 in Newark, NJ to the late Irving and Jeanie (Ross) Valentine. Starr resided in Irvington, Edison and Somerville before moving to Hillsborough 20 years ago. She was the Regional Sales Manager, Middlesex County, for the Star Ledger and has been with the newspaper for over 25 years. She was a member of the Bound Brook Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her loving partner of 25 years, Mary Schmidt, her siblings James Valentine and Diane Valocsik, several nieces, nephews, family members and close friends. Visitation on Wednesday, August 1st from 9:30 am until 10:30 am at the Cusikck Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Ave., Somerville. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 am at the Bound Brook Presbyterian Church, on the corner of Mountain Ave. & Union Ave., Bound Brook. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Starr's memory to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, 136 Mountain View Blvd., Basking Ridge, NJ 07920.
