Stanley J. Kulikowski, 80, died peacefully and amongst the love of his family on July 3, 2024.
Born in Amsterdam, NY to the late Stanley and Mollie Kulikowski, nee Primer, he was a graduate of Wilber H. Lynch High School. Mr. Kulikowski went on to serve his country in the United States Army before beginning his career. He dedicated thirty years to the Deloitte Corporation as a facilities and administrative manager. He met the love of his life, JoAnn Marsano, in 1970 and the two were married shortly thereafter in 1972. They eventually settled in Readington, NJ which is where they resided for almost 30 years. Stan had many hobbies and interests, including parachuting, motorcycling, and travel. In his retirement, he began a consulting firm which he operated for nearly 6 years before fully retiring to spend time pursuing his life’s passions.
It was shortly after moving to Readington that Stan discovered his love of horses and became an avid horseman. It was a hobby he shared for many years with his daughter, Leigh. He excelled in cutting and team-penning competitions at all levels and medaled in both regional and national events. He also volunteered on cattle drives in Wyoming, Colorado, and Montana. His passion for horses spanned over thirty-five years, and later in life he dedicated his time to training horses, and spent many days at a stable in Blairstown, NJ training on all levels. Stan held his passion to the very end, last riding on his 80th birthday.
He had a love of reading, especially mystery and detective novels. Stan loved the quality time spent with his family, especially sharing his life’s passions with his children and grandchildren. He listened to blues, country, classic rock, but he was a fan of music in general, sharing his tastes with his loved ones. In his retirement, he became interested in cooking and experimenting in nearly every type of cuisine.
Surviving are his beloved wife of over 52 years, JoAnn Kulikowski, nee Marsano, Jeff Kulikowski and wife Connie, Leigh Demeter and husband Daniel, his cherished grandchildren, Madeline, William, Morgan, and Tanner, and his dear sister, Virginia Marx
Memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00PM on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Avenue, Somerville.
Memorial service will be held at 7:00PM at the funeral home.
