Shirley A. Markey

Shirley A. Markey, 82, of North Plainfield, NJ passed away on January 30, 2020, with her husband of 65 years, James Markey, by her side. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, James, her children, James, Jr. (Judy), Patrick (Eileen), Robert, Sharon, Shirley (Scott) Avellino, Brian (Jaime), Keith (Karen), Joseph (Aimee), 19 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, her sisters, Joyce Birolin and Carol Betances and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents, Harry and Edith Schultz, her sisters, Mildred, Margaret, Doris, Elaine and Dorothy and her cherished son, Kevin.

Shirley enjoyed nothing more than to be surrounded by her family and friends and she touched the heart of everyone she met.

Visiting hours are from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Monday February 3 at the Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Avenue, Somerville, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 4, at the Immaculate Conception Church, 35 Mountain Avenue, Somerville, NJ. Interment will follow at Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia, NJ.
