Sheila Marie White (née Fanning), age 70, of Branchburg, NJ, passed away on May 13, 2021 with her four daughters by her side. Sheila was the Assistant Principal and Director of Guidance at Immaculata High School, where she worked for 14 years. Sheila cherished her Immaculata family and broader IHS community. Prior to that, Sheila taught Psychology as an Assistant Professor for 23 years at Seton Hall University. She also graduated from Seton Hall (Class of 1973) with a B.A. in Psychology and went on to earn her Masters (M.A.) in Psychology from Montclair State University. Sheila loved spending time with her family and was an avid animal lover, most notably of her treasured dog, Finn.

She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her four daughters and son-in-laws, Patricia White and Michael Walsh of Jersey City, NJ, Sheila E. And John Paul Imbrogno of Chappaqua, NY, Erin and Brian Hennessy of New Providence, NJ, and Meghan and Thomas Moore of Riverdale, NY. She is also survived by her brother, Ed Fanning of Springfield, NJ, as well as six beloved grandchildren, Jack, Emilia, Sofia, Myles, Alexander, and Declan. She is predeceased by her husband of 32 years, John A. White, as well as mother, Nora Fanning, father, Joseph Fanning, and brother, Richard Fanning.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Monday, May 17th, 2021 at the Immaculate Conception Church, 35 Mountain Ave, Somerville. Interment to follow at St. Teresa Cemetery in Summit. Visiting hours will be held Sunday, May 16th, from 2pm to 5pm at the Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Ave., Somerville. COVID precautions will be followed.

In lieu of flowers and to honor Sheila and her battle with brain cancer, it is Sheila's wish that a donation be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. A donation can be made online at http://giftfunds.stjude.org/SheilaWhite.
