Scott Lipich, 27, passed away on August 1 at Somerset Medical Center, Somerville. He was born on March 3, 1985 and was a life-long resident of Hillsborough, NJ. Scott was a 2004 graduate of Hillsborough High School.

Scott was passionate about cooking and was compiling a cookbook for publication that included his great-grandmother’s heirloom recipes. Scott loved camping, playing canasta, monopoly and spending time with his many friends and cousins. Scott lived his life with a joie de vivre.

Scott is survived by his parents Lisa (Karbowski) and John Lipich, and his brother, Jason Lipich, all of Hillsborough. He was predeceased by his great-grandparents, William B. and Mary J. Scott of Hillsborough, whom he loved very dearly.

Visiting hours will begin 9am on Saturday, August 4, concluding with a Funeral Service at Noon at the Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Ave., Somerville. Interment to follow at South Branch Reformed Church Cemetery, Hillsborough. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, JDRF, 26 Broadway, New York, NY 10004 (info@jdrf.org) in memory of Scott.
