Ruth M. Gulick, “Ruthie”, 85, died peacefully on January 20, 2022.
Born in Whitehouse to the late Raymond and Eva Gulick (nee Bolmer), she was a long-time resident of Raritan, before moving with her daughter and family to Hillsborough then Easton 22 years ago.
Ruthie was a consummate caregiver and dedicated her almost twenty year career to caring for others at the former Woods Edge Care Center in Bridgewater. Her natural patience, kindness, and laughter was present in her every day life and she enjoyed the quality time spent with family and friends. Ruthie also enjoyed talking with her sister everyday along with her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed watching the Hallmark Channel, Game Shows, and Dancing with the Stars. Ruthie was also a big Elvis and Disney fan and enjoyed watching the movies and listening to the music. Most of all, Ruth was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who enjoyed spending time with everyone and making wonderful memories that will never be forgotten.
She was a devout communicant of St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church in Raritan for many years. When she was unable to attend mass, she would participate in prayer and watch on RCAN from home.
Ruth was welcomed into heaven by her parents, her siblings and their spouses; Raymond Gulick and Laura, George Gulick and Rose, Ralph Gulick and Mary, Arthur Gulick, Mary Palazzo and Louie. She is also predeceased by her brother-in-law, Wes Krause.
Surviving are her loving daughter, Eva Hewitt and husband Kevin, her cherished grandson Kevin, Jr., her dear sister Helen Krause, and several wonderful nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Avenue, Somerville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 11:00 am at St. Anne R.C. Church, 45 Anderson Street, Raritan.
Family and friends are welcome to gather at the funeral home beginning at 9:00 am to 10:30 am.
Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Park, 1800 State Route 27, North Brunswick.
