Ruth Crofut died March 29 at her home in Martinsville. She was born in Newark, grew up in Verona and attened high school there before moving to Bridgewater in 1957. Her career as a Registered Nurse began in 1957 with the Visiting Nurses Association of Plainfield and she retired in 1995 as their Director of Home Health Aides. A graduate of University of Vermont with a BS degree in Nursing, Ruth was a long time member of the Martinsville United Methodist Church. She is survived by her sisters Edith Levy and Betty Anne Winston and 3 nieces and 2 nephews. A Funeral Service will be held 10am on Saturday, April 2 at the Martinsville United Methodist Church, 1949 Washington Valley Road, Martinsville, NJ 08836 with the interment to follow at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Ruth's memory to the Church or Community Care Hospice, 110 West End Ave., Somerville, NJ 08876
