Cubero Castro
Sep 9, 1970 — Sep 8, 2026
Middlesex
Rosemary Cubero Castro, 55, passed surrounded by the love of her family on September 8, 2026.
Born on September 9, 1970 in Alajuela to the late Manuel Cabero and Julia Castro, she was the youngest of thirteen children, making their family complete. She was cherished and protected by her siblings, something that was kept throughout their lives. She went on with life until she met Francisco Gonzalez; the love of her life, and both were married when she was twenty. They settled in Bound Brook, New Jersey where they started their family. What an unforgettable time when she gave birth to both children that surrounded her with joy, happiness, and many new experiences.
Rosemary was a warrior. She had four battles and throughout her fight, she stayed positive and ALWAYS found reasons to smile no matter how sad she was. Her warmth and energy were like the sun, always bright, always shining. She led by example, showing her family that perseverance and faith would shine light even during the darkest of times. Rosemary was adored by her entire family and everyone showed up to help her through her fight.
In 2007 Rosemary and her family moved back to Costa Rica. There, life came full circle when she had the opportunity to give back love and support to her parents the same way they did while she was being raised. Her devotion to her family was out of love and not for recognition, it showed in all she did.
Rosemary was a woman whose life was filled with love, kindness, and a light that is impossible to forget. She was always willing to lend a hand, care for others, and give without expecting anything in return. Her hugs had a special way of making all of us feel loved, comforted, and at home. Her delightful smile could brighten any room and reflected the warmth and joy she carried within her.
Rosemary left a long-lasting impression on every person who was lucky enough to share life with her. Her loving heart, generosity, and joyful spirit will continue to live on through her family and everyone whose life she touched. Although her absence leaves an immeasurable emptiness, the love she gave so freely will remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
Her smile, her warm hugs, and the special way she made people feel will never be forgotten. Her life will be remembered not only by the years she lived, but by the countless footprints of love she left in the hearts of others.
She faced more hardships when she was widowed young, losing her husband eleven years ago. Rosemary came back to New Jersey to enjoy with her family and fight for her health. She received her greatest motivation for life when her adored grandchildren, Antonella and Cristobal were born. This was her main focus while fighting, they were on her mind to her very last days.
Rosemary enjoyed life in every way, her days were full of color even though she had a bumpy ride during this journey. She made every family gathering and every meal feel special, filling the room with not only amazing taste, but also laughter, warmth, and love. Her joyful spirit, bright smile, and positivity touched generations of her family and created memories that will be cherished forever. Rosemary believed in giving to others and showing kindness whenever she could.
Until we meet again, Tita, mom, little sister, aunt, and unconditional friend.
We won the greatest of battles. We fought until the very end, and now, through faith, we know there is a celebration in heaven—not only welcoming your arrival, but also celebrating your 56th birthday, which you are celebrating today from above. We will love you always.
