Rosalinda Virruso Giles, 40, died peacefully on May 3, 2022, at home surrounded by the love of her family. Born and raised in Somerville, Rosalinda was a graduate of Somerville High School, Class of 2000. She went on to receive her bachelor’s degree from Bloomsburg College in Pennsylvania and applied her lifelong love of learning and teaching to the students at the Eisenhower School in Bridgewater, where she taught for seven years. Rosalinda married the love of her life, Mathew Giles, in 2010 and settled in Flemington where they started their family. She started to work in Accounts Receivables at Taranto Associates in Lebanon in 2013 part time to dedicate herself to her children. Rosalinda was a born leader and consummate caregiver from an early age, and it showed in all she did. She was a homeroom mom and enjoyed the time spent with her children in all their activities. Rosalinda was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018 and fought like hell. She was in remission until May of 2021, when she was diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer. She used her diagnosis to raise awareness and touched the lives of so many people during her courageous journey. She was thoughtful in all she did and volunteered her time to Dance for the Cure, which helps local families fighting this same battle. Rosalinda endlessly devoted herself to her family, especially her children, and cherished every moment spent together. She did not let her diagnosis define her and raised awareness for women who are living the same battle. She enjoyed good food, cooking, traveling, and creating memories with her family. Rosalinda was considered to be family by all who had the privilege of having her in their life. Her legacy of love, perseverance, and hope will continue on in the lives of all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Pietro Virruso and Dominick Foti, her uncle Rosario Foti and cousin Domenico Foti. Surviving are her loving parents, her mother, Theresa Foti, and father, Salvatore Virruso and partner Lorine Stolarick, her beloved husband Mathew David Giles, the lights of her life, her children Madelyn and Michael, her devoted brothers Peter Virruso and wife Mary and Salvatore Virruso and fiancé Kara Czarcinski, her husbands family, who adored her- his parents, Theresa Giles and Perry Gross, and Daniel Giles, Sr. and Margie Iwicki, siblings Daniel Jr. and Amy Giles, Tiffany and Caitlin Giles-McCormick, Rudy and Stephanie Gross, Matthew and Jill Gross, and Jeffery Gross as well as her many aunts, uncles, cousins, cherished nieces and nephews, extended family, and many friends.
