Ronald Paul Frey

April 7, 1960 — June 10, 2024

Ronald Paul Frey, 64, died peacefully on June 10, 2024.

Born in New Brunswick to the late Albert William and Helene Frey (nee Hoeflich), he was raised in Bradley Gardens and was a graduate of Bridgewater High School West, Class of 1978.

He went on to work at the former Laneco in Bridgewater where he made his way to manager. In December of 1986 he started working for the United States Postal Service. There he was a staple in Hillsborough and was eventually appointed Postmaster of Flagtown and was instrumental in dividing the mail service to provide a more competent structure for delivery in the large rural community as the population grew. Ron was known for making a trip to the post office less daunting by being a part of the community in his operations.

Ron was in high school through the evolution of true American rock and roll. He was an avid Jethro Tull fan. He collected classic rock records, having an extensive library of incredible music. Ron’s nostalgia for the quality of productions of old movies led him to accumulate 4K resolution versions of the greatest movies ever made. He appreciated the ability to find a new way to see movies he had seen hundreds of times. Ron and his daughter even noticed that Dorothy has freckles in the Wizard of Oz. He had a love of classic muscle cars and was a steadfast Dodge guy, from his first Dodge Dart to his Dodge Ram.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Helene Frey, and his sister-in-law Jaqueline Frey.

Surviving are his loving children Christopher  and Melissa, his dear siblings Michael Frey, Karen Frey, and Joesph Frey and wife Diane, as well as his extended family and dear friends.
