Robert Nelson Wechsler

Robert Nelson (Bob) Wechsler, passed away in his Belmar residence on Thursday, July 22nd. He was 62 years old.

A native of New Jersey, Bob was born in Somerset County but also lived in other counties in NJ, as well as Florida, Colorado, and New Hampshire. He was a graduate of Immaculate Conception School in Somerville and Bridgewater Raritan High School West and attended several colleges and trade schools.

Always a lover of the outdoors, Bob had a passion for landscaping and a gift at making beautiful lawns and gardens. He worked as a landscape maintenance professional for many years as well as at Raritan Public Works. He was also a small engine repairman, loan agent, and car salesman. Bob was a lover of dogs, (adopting three rescues), and a private pilot. His happiest times were spent flying aircraft from Somerset Airport.

He is predeceased by his loving parents, Robert L. and Chesla K. Wechsler, formerly of Bridgewater and leaves behind three sisters, Mary Lou Welch of Alpharetta Ga., Robin Smither of Whitehouse Station and Chesla C. Wechsler of Point Pleasant Beach.
