Robert L. Pierce, 90, died peacefully on March 25, 2023.
Born and raised in Perth Amboy to the late Ralph and Francis Pierce (nee Hamlin),. He went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Air Force. After his honorable discharge, he went on to work for Westinghouse in the factory. There he met the love of his life, Ann Szabo, the two were married and enjoyed an incredible life together. Mr. Pierce was a Volunteer Firefighter and member of the Perth Amboy Rescue Squad for many years.
He and his wife were a member of the Edison Senior Citizen Club and Edison Traveling Seniors. They enjoyed many trips together traveling the world, making friends and memories they carried with them throughout their life.
Recently, the Pierces’ settled into a retirement community so that they could assure to stay together.
He was welcomed into heaven by his beloved wife Ann who died just sixteen days ago, a peace of knowing they were not long without each other, as well as his dear siblings, Ralph Pierce, Rose Rortina, William Pierce and his nephew Christopher Lynch.
Surviving are his loving sister, Florence Lynch, devoted nephew Doug Lynch and wife Kelli, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Clover Leaf Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Woodbridge.
