Robert “Bobby” Joseph Cherasaro, 82, of Deltona, Florida, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 6, 2026.

Born on July 15th, 1943, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Bobby was the beloved son of the late Nicholas Sr. and Helen (Fatula) Cherasaro. He graduated from Piscataway High School in New Jersey in 1962 and went on to work for Howell Electric Motors. In 1979, Bobby relocated to Hollywood, Florida, where he dedicated many years as a Lead Sanitation and Facilities Technician for the City of Pembroke Pines in Broward County, retiring in 2002. He was a proud member of the New Jersey National Guard.

Bobby was married to his devoted wife, Joan Cherasaro, for over 45 wonderful years. Together, they enjoyed bowling, fishing, antiquing, and cherished moments spent with family and friends. 

He is survived by his brother, Nick Cherasaro Jr. and wife Mary Ann of Leland, NC; his sister, Donna Zampella of Piscataway, NJ; his sister Judy Cherasaro and partner Edward Neuwirth of Fort Lauderdale, FL; his son Kenneth Cherasaro and wife Stacie of Edison, NJ; his son Edmund Figiel and wife Debra of Ringoes NJ; and his daughter Barbara Troisi of Belvidere, NJ. Bobby will also be lovingly remembered by his nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Joan Cherasaro, his son Robert Cherasaro Jr. and wife Susan, his sister Nancy Cherasaro, and his brother-in-law Ron Zampella. Bobby’s warmth, kindness, and sense of humor touched the lives of many. He will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.
