Robert J. Burger

Robert J. Burger, 84, died peacefully on July 15, 2025.

Robert Joseph Burger was born in East Orange, New Jersey on October 11, 1940, to parents Harold Burger and Catherine Louise Burger (nee Vasallo). Robert graduated from Clifford J. Scott High School in East Orange in 1958.

Bob, as he was known to those close to him, married Claire R. Burger (nee Gilmore) in 1971. Together they raised two children, Pamela and Michael. Their home was always full of fun and laughter.

Bob worked for Western Termite & Pest Control for years. He had many hobbies including fishing and woodworking, he especially enjoyed working on the house he shared with his family in West Orange, New Jersey. Bob also enjoyed nature and Bluegrass music.

He will be greatly missed by his loving children as well as his grandson Michael Bonilla. Bob will be missed by his siblings John Burger (wife Elizabeth Burger) and Mary Riccio (husband Jimmy Riccio), as well as a number of nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by family on his wife Claire's side.

Bob is predeceased by his wife Claire who was called home in 2021.
