Robert Lee Avant Sr., 78, departed this life on Friday April 20, 2012 at home in Easton, PA. He was born March 20, 1934 in Marion, SC. He was employed at Midas in Bridgewater & N. Plainfield for many years before retiring in 2005.

He was a devoted member of Antioch Church in New Brunswick.

He is predeceased by a daughter, Denise Lynn. He is survived by 6 children; Charlotte Spann (Gradie), Helene (John), Robert Jr., Gwendolyn Key (Ronald), and Michele all of Easton, PA; and Michael (Constance) of Bridgewater, NJ; 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren. Funeral Service 11 am on Thursday, April 26 at the Antioch Church, 28 Oliver St., New Brunswick. Interment to follow at Franklin Memorial Park, No. Brunswick. Visitation at Church beginning at 9am on Thursday morning prior to Service.
