Ricky C. Karas

Ricky C. Karas, 63, died peacefully on December 8, 2025.

Born and raised in Paterson to the late Edward F. and Geraldine P. Karas (nee Onorato).

Mr. Karas had a passion for cars, especially antiques, and was the owner and operator of his own auto business for many years.

He met the love of his life, Mary Harriet Santos in Jersey City, and the two were married in 1991. A devoted husband, they settled in Oak Ridge where their life was filled with quality time together. Ricky always had a love of music, and was a talented pianist. He enjoyed Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack music of his youth throughout his life. Ricky was devoted to his nieces and nephews as if they were his own children, always supporting them throughout their life events. He and Mary Harriet cherished the quality time spent with their family, especially at holidays.

Mr. Karas was a devout Catholic and former Grand Night of the Knights of Columbus Joseph F. Lamb Council #5510. Devoted to the Blessed Mother, Ricky kept his honor in the love he shared with his wife for over 34 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward F. and Geraldine P. Karas.

Surviving are his beloved wife, Mary Harriet Karas, his dear siblings Kathy Pasciucco and husband John, and Edward J. Karas, his dear sister in law Heidi Fernandez, his cherished nieces, nephews, and extended family.
