Richard (Dick) R. Painter died November 26. Mr. Painter was born in Dover, NJ and resided in Somerville for over 40 years before moving to Annandale in 1996.

He retired in 1993 from RCA (General Electric/Harris Semiconductor) after many years, beginning his career there as an Electrical Engineer and later working and retiring from their Sales and Marketing Departments. A graduate of Newark College of Engineering now NJIT, he was Honorably Discharged as a Captain in the US Air Force and served faithfully on the Somerville Planning Board, School Board and former Commisioner of the Somerville Pop Warner Football program.

His first wife Delight (Dee) Painter, brother Bill Painter and son Mark Painter predeceased him. Surviving are his wife Patricia (Starycki) Painter, his children Theresa Stathatos (Dimitri), Patrice McInaw (Gerald), Bob Painter (Nancy), David Painter (Carol), a daughter-in-law Mary Painter, 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and his brother Jack Painter.

Visiting hours will begin at 10am on Saturday, December 1st concluding with a Service at Noon at the Cusick Funeral Home in Somerville.
