Richard P. Case, “Rick”, 76, died surrounded by the love of his family on September 3, 2025.
Born and raised in Somerville to the late Joseph and Evelyn Case (nee Lewis), he was a graduate of Somerville High School. Rick met Kathy Fulton in 1981 and the two started their life together in 1986 living in Hillsborough before settling to Bridgewater. They completed their family when they had their daughter Erin in 1993. Rick was a devoted father who dedicated his life to his daughter, from watching her Irish Dance at Carnegie Hall (and getting to brag about it) to creating their own games around the house, their annual trip to Myrtle Beach, and just the quality time spent together, Erin was the light of his life until his final breath. Rick enjoyed hunting, NASCAR, spending time at the Flemington race track and watching his nephew race at Wall Township Speed way, and was an avid New York Giants and New York Yankees fan, spending his last night making sure to finish the Yankee Game. He was a Civil War buff who loved his country and brought his family to Gettysburg. Rick was active in the Eagles and American Legion where he supported his veteran community alongside his wife and daughter, his best friends.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Pamela Stenger, Bette Ann Overk, James Case, and Joseph “Sunny” Case, his in-laws Frank Negrete, Robert Murray, Michael Overk, and Angelika Fulton, his nieces and nephews, Michael Case, Karen Case, Jamie Murray, and Jeff Stenger.
