Richard Bello

Richard G. Bello, 62, passed away on May 9, 2025.

Born and raised in Jersey City and son of the late Richard and Anna Bello. He was a graduate of Marist High School in Bayonne, finishing in the top 10% of his class. Richard went on to get his undergraduate degree in Economics from Rutgers University before receiving his MBA from Seton Hall. He was a commercial lender for major New Jersey banks before becoming a financial and real estate entrepreneur.

Richard enjoyed good food and entertaining. He was an avid New York Mets fan and enjoyed golfing. He was fond of the beach and moved down to North Carolina to experience life on the coast and a warmer climate.

Surviving are his beloved children Meredith and Richard (“Max”) Bello, his sister Deborah Bello, and his nephew and niece Carl and Alexandra Monaco, Kathleen Lewanski, as well as his extended family and friends.

Memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00PM on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Avenue, Somerville.

Reflections will begin at 2:30PM.
