Read Hugh Roberts passed away peacefully at home on March 23, 2016. Born in Somerset, Pennsylvania on January 31st, 1939, Read was the second son of Percival Charles and Claudia Read Roberts. Read graduated in 1960 from The Pennsylvania State University where he was a member of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. He then entered the Navy as an Ensign and separated from the service as a Lieutenant. After finishing his masters degree at Penn State in 1966, Read then worked for IT for Johnson & Johnson for 38 years. He was a lifetime member of the Myersdale, PA Masonic Lodge. He was a resident of Hillsborough, NJ and was an active as a coach with the Hillsborough Soccer Club.

Read was predeceased by parents and brother, William E. Roberts. He leaves his beloved wife of 49 years, Sandra Roberts and three sons- Kevin (St. Louis, MO), David (Washington, DC) and Matthew (Somerville, NJ); his sister, Ann Joers (Texas) and brother, John C. Roberts (VA) and many nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.
