Peter Maurice Greif

Peter Maurice Greif, 78, died on January 13, 2026.

Born in New Brunswick to the late Adrian and Eleanor Greif (nee DeLorenzo), he was raised in Somerville and was a graduate of Immaculata High School.

Mr. Greif went on to work for PSE&G out of New Brunswick and had been there almost thirty-five years. He had lived throughout the area, most recently settling to North Plainfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his sister, Adrianne Wood.

Surviving are his long-term best friend Jennifer Elliott, his brother Edward Greif and wife Cindy, his nieces Alyssa Greif, Bethann Graycar, and Kathrin Kelly Graycar.

Inurnment will take place at New Cemetery, Somerville, in the spring.
