Peter P. Barszczewski died September 5. Son of the late John and Anna Barszczewski and brother of the late Edward, Joseph, John, Mary Pietrowicz, Eve Stancik and Sophie Burczynski. Peter was born in Kearny and resided in Bridgewater for 62 years. He retired from PSE&G, Maplewood, as a Lab Technician after many years and served aboard the U.S.S. WASP Aircraft Carrier as a Navy Veteran of WW II. Surviving are his wife, Sophie (Kilian) and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30am on Thursday, September 8, at the Immaculate Conception Church, Somerville. Visitation from 5pm-8pm on Wednesday, September 7, at the Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville. Memorial donations may be made to the Green Knoll Rescue Squad or the Martinsville Rescue Squad.
