Paul Runiewicz, father of the late Lisa Runiewicz, died May 13 at Somerset Medical Center. Paul was born in Booklyn, NY and resided in South Plainfield for 19 years before moving to Bridgewater in 1986. His employment in the auto industry began at the young age of sixteen and continued until his recent retirement. Beginning as an auto mechanic, a body repair specialist and a service station proprietor and concluding as a well known wholesale auto dealer and appraiser, Mr. Runiewicz who was often sought out as a mentor encompassed a career in the auto industry of respectability and honesty among his clients and peers. Paul and his wife enjoyed relaxing times from his hectic schedule in Atlantic City and Las Vegas. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Christa, a son Jason and a brother Edward and many dear friends and colleagues. A Funeral Service will be held 11am on Thursday, May 17 at the Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville. Visiting hours are from 6pm to 9pm on Wednesday, May 16 at the funeral home, Somerville.
