Patsy “Pat” Tosco

​Patsy “Pat” Tosco died August 18, 2021 at Robert Wood Johnson Somerset after a short illness. He was 97. Pat was born on September 2nd 1923 in Bridgewater NJ. He was the son of Michael and Rose Tosco. He is predeceased by his siblings Frank, John, Vincent, Angelo, Nick, Anthony, Michael, Louis, Agnes and Grace.

His wife Mary Jean (Duffy) Tosco predeceased him in 2009, after 48 years of marriage.

Patsy is survived by his 2 daughters Patricia Reed (John) and Jean Paraskevas (Jim), grandsons John Reed Jr and Tyler Reed, 2 great grandsons Jackson and Jordan as well as several nieces and nephews.

Pat grew up in Somerville NJ. Moving to Bridgewater in 1963. He graduated from Somerville High School. After High School he was drafted into the Army serving his country in World War II as a Staff Sergeant. When he returned home he went to work in the family business, Michael Tosco and Son’s. After the company closed in 1972, he worked at VanCleef Engineering as an inspector, retiring in 1989.

Pat enjoyed time with his family, hunting, and working in his yard. He will be greatly missed.

Visitation from 9:30am-11am on Monday, August 23, at the Cusick Funeral Home on Mountain Avenue in Somerville and concluding with Prayers and Military Honors at Noon at St. Gertrude's Cemetery, 53 Inman Ave., Colonia, NJ . In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association or Somerset Regional Animal Shelter.
