Norma L. Keith, aged 97, peacefully passed away on April 8, 2024, at her home in Bridgewater, New Jersey.
Born on December 15, 1926, she lived through numerous wars across her impressive 97-year lifespan. Norma was a testament to adaptability, thriving amidst change and leaving an indelible mark on those around her with her boundless capacity for unconditional love and empathy.
Her two children, Cheryl Burgess (Mark) and George Keith (Nazie) are left to cherish her memory, with four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Norma was the youngest child of Ralph and Caroline Berardinelli, surviving her four siblings. Following the dissolution of her marriage after the Korean War, Norma courageously embraced the role of a single mother with the help of her mother to raise her two young children, drawing strength from her determination to provide them with a loving upbringing and education despite the challenges she faced after the loss of her mother during her children’s teenage years.
Beginning her career as a secretary for esteemed professionals in the medical and legal fields, Norma later transitioned to a successful tenure as a real estate agent, earning accolades such as membership in the esteemed Million Dollar Club.
Upon retirement, Norma relocated to Bridgewater, NJ, where she spent 39 fulfilling years alongside her daughter and son-in-law.
During her formative academic years, she enthusiastically pursued diverse interests, from being a high school football cheerleader to delving into the worlds of chemistry and art. Even after retirement, Norma stayed active and connected with her family, eagerly embracing technological advancements until her vision declined.
Norma L. Keith's life was a testament to resilience, love, and an unwavering spirit in the face of adversity. Her memory will forever be cherished by those whose lives she touched. May she rest in eternal peace.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024, from 9:00 to 10:00AM at Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Avenue, Somerville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30AM at St. Bernard of Clairvaux R.C. Church, 500 US-22, Bridgewater.
Entombment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery Mausoleum, Bridgewater.
