Nancy Scafuto

Nancy Scafuto, (nee’ Blaine), 68, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2025 with surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Newark, NJ to the late Clifford and June Blaine (nee’ Christmann), she was a graduate of Watchung Hills High School class of 1974. There she was in the High School Band and played clarinet and was on color guard. Recently, she enjoyed reconnecting with her friends at their High School reunion last year. After graduation, she attended college, and in 1982 met the love of her life, Aniello Scafuto of Raritan, NJ while both at an event at Pines Manor in Edison. The two were married in 1984 and in 1986 settled to Bridgewater Twp. where they raised their family. She went back to college to get her degree and worked in debugging programming for the Y2K turnover. She spent time working with Ralph Lauren/Warner Cosmetics before working for the Somerset County Board of Elections as a Clerk.

She was a devoted grandmother to her granddaughter Madison Rose.  After tragically losing her husband in 2021 she continued on doing her best loving her family enough for the both of them. Her commitment to her granddaughter and creating memories will last a lifetime. Nancy enjoyed time down the shore, especially time in the sun. She Enjoyed going out with her Friends to dinner, She was the cool mom…who bonded with her son Joe at Rock concerts over the years and could hang with the best of them. Her love of music was seen while she danced and enjoyed every note. Remember Nancy with a smile and a big glass of wine.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Aniello Scafuto.

Surviving are her loving children, Joseph and wife Heather and Christina, her cherished granddaughter Madison Rose, her dear brother Marc Blaine and wife Karen, as well as her in-laws, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends….She was Very Loved & Will Be Truly Missed By All…

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00PM on Friday, March 28, 2025 at Cusick Funeral Home 80 Mountain Avenue, Somerville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30AM on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, Anderson Street, Raritan.

Committal service will follow at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge.
