Michael Joseph Wasik

Michael Joseph Wasik, 54, died suddenly on June 7, 2022. Born in Somerville, Michael was raised in Bridgewater. Michael graduated from Bridgewater Raritan High School East where he played varsity football. Michael graduated from West Chester University with a degree in Business. While at West Chester University Michael made friends and memories to last a lifetime. Michael was an avid golfer, no matter what season as long as there was green he would play. He enjoyed playing at Neshanic Valley and traveled to Hilton Head and Myrtle Beach to play in the winter. Michael was a passionate New York Yankees and Philadelphia Eagles football fan. He enjoyed watching his teams play, downtime at home, and most of all the chance to spend time with his friends and family. Michael’s friendship, sense of humor and great smile will be deeply missed. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Stanley Wasik. Surviving are his daughters, Emily Wasik, Liz Wasik, and Samantha Wasik, his loving mother Dottie Thomas and step father Ken, his siblings, Kathy Toye and husband Chuck, Steven Wasik, and Susan Brennan and husband Michael, step-siblings Kenny Thomas, Carl Thomas and wife Elise, and Jennifer Hartlaub and husband Jerry, as well as his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Family and friends are welcome to gather for a celebration of Micheal’s life on Saturday, June 18, 2022, from 1:00 to 5:00PM at Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Avenue, Somerville, with a prayer service to be held at 5:00PM at the funeral home.
