Michael Joseph Picchiello, 64, died January 17 in Somerville at home with his family at his side. He was born in Somerville and raised in Bound Brook by the late Anthony and Margaret Picchiello.

Mike graduated from Bound Brook HS in 1967. He was a Vietnam Veteran and was employed by Bristol- Myers Squibs for 37 years before retiring in 2005. He coached baseball and football in Somerville and was also a member of the Somerville wrestling club. He loved to fish and hunt.

Mike is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Catherine Albe Picchiello and 5 children; Michael Jr., Margaret and husband Andrew Aiello, Kelly and husband Richard Herrera, Frederick and fiancé Joanna Caffreyand Brian Picchiello. He also had 9 wonderful grandchildren, Michael Picchiello, Drew and Justine Aiello, Faviola, Richie, Elizabeth, Catherine, Julianna and Tony Herrera. He has 2 sisters, Catherine and husband Ernest Stamm and Margartet Mendocroft. He will be dearly missed. (NR)...

Visiting hours will be at the Cusick Funeral Home in Somerville from 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Sunday January 20th. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30am on Monday, January 21, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Somerville.
