Maryellen Elizabeth Brown

MaryEllen Elizabeth Brown (Mimi), age 83, of Annandale NJ passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at the Bridgeway Care and Rehabilitation Center in Bridgewater NJ.

She was born at home (Lamington Road, Bedminster) on July 21, 1937. She moved to Bridgewater in 1970 and in 2001 to her home in Annandale NJ.

MaryEllen was the daughter of the late John Patrick Brown, Sr. and Catherine Ann (Jones) Brown; she is predeceased by her brother, John Patrick Brown, Jr. and her two brothers-in-law, Concenzio (Jim) Santolini and John Louis Vossen Jr. She is survived by her two sisters, Nancy Ann Santolini of Vineland NJ and Joan Vossen of Annandale NJ.

She was a beloved aunt to her Goddaughter, Susanne Santolini Law, and her husband Vincent, and five nephews, James Santolini, her Godson, of Vineland NJ, John Santolini and his wife Debra of Hillsborough NJ, John Patrick Brown of High Bridge NJ, John Paul Vossen, her Godson, and his wife Karen of Collegeville PA and Thomas Vossen of Norwood MA.

Some of her most precious moments were spent with her great nieces, Audrey Elizabeth and Rachel Marie Santolini of Hillsborough NJ, Kate Elizabeth and great nephew Sam Michael Vossen of Collegeville PA.

She was a 1955 graduate of Bernards High School and a proud representative of New Jersey Girls State. Her career experience included managing the per diem suite for Somerset Medical Center’s Bedminster Plaza, medical secretary for Allercare, Inc. Somerville, a store opener for Macy’s Bridgewater where she managed the employee benefits program, and a benefits administrator in the Human Resources Dept. of Research-Cottrell. Inc., Branchburg NJ.

Mary Ellen was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Somerville NJ for fifty years and a devoted member of its Rosary Altar Society. Visiting hours are at Cusick Funeral Home, Mountain Avenue, Somerville NJ on Friday from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, January 16th at 11:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church, 35 Mountain Ave, Somerville.
