Mary M. Kearney died March 29 at Bridgeway Senior Assisted Living. Mrs. Kearney was the wife of the late Jerry Kearney (1994) and mother of the late Kathleen Kearney (2007). She was born in Scranton, PA and resided in the Somerville and Raritan area for over 70 years. She retired in 1992 as a Probation Administrator for the Probation Department of Somerset County, having worked there for 31 years. A member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Somerville and the Rosary Altar Society there, Mrs. Kearney is survived by her son Patrick and a sister Mildred Gillern. Her predeceased siblings included Florence Palevich, Leona Emmel, Sister Mary Generosa (Dolly), twin sister Martha Herr, Ernestine Freeburger, Edward, Frank and Clem Palevich. In addition to her beloved family members, Mrs. Kearney was especially fond of her pets Spring, Sandy, Hector and Dinsdale who she loved very much. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am on Monday, April 4 at the Immaculate Conception Church, Somerville and an interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway. Visiting hours from 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Sunday, April 3 at the Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Humane Society of united States, dept.
