Mary Elizabeth Grover, Marie to her friends and family, passed away peacefully in her longtime home in Somerville, New Jersey on June 16, 2021.

Marie, the third of four siblings, was born in Ocean Gate, New Jersey, to the late Frank John Valentine Biernbaum and Mary Parks Biernbaum on August 25, 1922. She was predeceased by her brothers, Charles F Biernbaum (Marion Reeve Hitchner) and Frank Charles Biernbaum (Betty Kremer), and is survived by her sister, Irene Rowe (Charles).

On June 17, 1943, Marie married her high school sweetheart and soulmate, Joseph George Grover, who was taken from her way too soon on March 30, 1983. Besides her sister, Irene, she is survived by her five children, Marie White (Rob), JoAnn Atwell (Jack), Kathleen Krystosik (Stephen), Jay Grover (Elise Burt), and Marylynn Kleszyk (David), twelve absolutely adored grandchildren and twelve cherished great-grandchildren.

Marie also leaves a legacy of life, love, and humor that will shine on in the hearts of countless others whose lives were forever brightened by her boundless grace, love, acceptance, and selflessness that defined this truly remarkable lady.
Many hearts will ache, but many souls will smile.

A Memorial Service will be held at Noon on Monday, June 21, 2021, at the First United Methodist Church, 49 West High Street, Somerville. A Zoom presentation will be offered to those unable to attend. (https://us02web.zoom.us/j/986500515). Password: 002367

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Marie's name to SHIP, the Church, Shriners Hospital for Children or the Somerville Rescue Squad.
