Mary Bennett, a resident of Bridgewater for almost 40 years, peacefully passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2014 after a very brief illness.

She was born on July 19, 1932 in Rockford, Illinois to Edward & Ruth Morsbach. Mary studied theater at The Pasadena Playhouse in Pasadena, California and went on to model and start her own modeling agency in NYC in the late 1950s. While acting with a theater company in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, Mary met her future husband Charles "Pat" Bennett. They were married for 56 years until Pat's passing in 2012.

Throughout her life, Mary was very involved in her community. She was an active member of a number of different school organizations when her children were young, was a long time member of the Bridgewater Women's Club (recently serving as its president), and rallied behind many local, state, and national causes. She was a proud Republican.

Mary is survived by her brother, Carl Morsbach, her three children, Claudia & her husband Tom Browne, Philip Bennett & his wife Regina, and Patrick Bennett & his wife Trish. She will be greatly missed by her six grandchildren, Olivia, Tommy, Carolyn, Patrick, Devenny & Ashley.

Visiting will be held at the Cusick Funeral Home in Somerville on Wednesday, May 28th from 5:00pm-8:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 29th at 10:00am at the Blessed Sacrament Church in Martinsville, followed by entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Basking Ridge.

Memorial donations may be made in Mary's name to the Martinsville Rescue Squad, 1771 Washington Valley Road, Bridgewater, NJ 08836.
