Mary Assante, wife of the late Leonard (Lenny) Assante, died September 7. Mrs. Assante was born in Raritan and resided in Martinsville (Bridgewater) since 1952. She was a communicant of the Blessed Sacrament Church in Martinsville.

Surviving are her daughters Elizabeth Szymanski and Louise Assante, grandchildren Leonard Assante, Marisa Brenner and Carrie Jones, 5 great grandchildren and a sister Connie Wisneiwski.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30am, on Wednesday, September 11, at the Blessed Sacrament Church, Washington Valley Road, Martinsville. Interment to follow at St. Bernard Cemetery, Bridgewater. Visitation on Wednesday morning before Mass at the Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville , beginning at 9am.
