Marion (Suz) Alles died at home in Bridgewater on December 2. Mrs. Alles was born in Lowell, MA and has been a resident of Bridgewater for 52 years. She received her Nursing Degree from St. Joseph's Hospital in Lowell, MA and went onto becoming an original flight attendant, stewardess at that time, for American Airlines in the mid 1940's. A registered nursing degree was mandatory for flight attendents during that period. She met a handsome military pilot while working for American and later married the late Donald Alles who passed away in 1999. Surviving are her son Daniel J. (Lydia) Alles of Branchburg and a daughter Martha (Thomas) Scannell of Hershey, PA and three grandchildren, Daniel Alles, Laura Scannell and Brian Scannell. Visiting hours from 6pm to 8pm on Tuesday, December 7 and on Wednesday December 8 beginning at 1pm concluding with a Funeral Service at 2:30pm at the Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Ave., Somerville. Interment Service to follow at 3:30pm at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Mt. Airy Road, Basking Ridge. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Alles memory to Friends of Somerset Regional Animal Shelter (FOSRAS), PO box 8073, Bridgewater, NJ 08807
