Marie
Travis
Apr 16, 1964 — Jun 23, 2026
Somerville
Marie Travis, 62, died peacefully after a long illness on June 23, 2026.
Surviving are her loving sister, Colleen Mamone, her dear father Paul Mann, her adored God Children/ nephew and niece, Raymond Mamone and Brianna Mamone, her dear aunts Effie Beavers and Edna Gambino, as well as her many cherished cousins and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Maryanne Mann, and her dear brother Jimmy Travis.
Born in Flemington, she was raised in Raritan, and was a graduate of Bridgewater High School West. Marie went on to attend Taylor Business School and worked as a Clerk in the Tax Department at AT&T.
Marie grew up in a large family, one of twenty cousins, she was so proud to be a part of a large tight knit family. They enjoyed every holiday together and being able to grow up alongside her cousins. That evolved into being an active part of their adult lives. Especially devoting herself to being a godmother and aunt, being an involved daughter and sister, always staying connected to her family.
Marie was an avid New York Yankee’s fan who took the opportunity to join others like her on a Yankee’s Cruise. She was devoted to her niece and nephew and they spent time going out to new restaurants and exploring the outlets. Sometimes just the quality time in the car chatting was the best part of her day. Marie eventually needed to move to an assisted living, this put her closer to her family, and allowed her to make friends. There, she enjoyed doing activities, especially playing Bingo.
