Marie A. Rolph

Marie A. Rolph, 94, died peacefully on July 9, 2024.

Born in West New York, New Jersey to the late Ferdinand and Gertrude Oriente, she went on to meet the love of her life, Roy T. Rolph. The two were married in 1955. They settled into Somerville where they raised their family. Marie devoted herself as a wife and mother to their five children. Whether it was assuring the kids were fed, keeping their schedule, helping with homework, or having a hot meal ready, Mrs. Rolph was a devoted mom. She enjoyed cooking and baking, her family especially loved her homemade pizza and apple pie.

Marie spent her down time doing needle point and enjoyed quality time with her family. She especially cherished the opportunity to help raise her grandchildren. Family trips to Budd Lake, NJ.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roy T. Rolph, her dear siblings Ralph Oriente, Frank Oriente, Ferdie Oriente, and John Oriente.

Surviving are her loving children, Debra Horak and husband Rick, Dale Rolph, Denise LaFata and husband Robert, Roy T. Rolph, Jr. and wife Cheryl, and Lisa Nicoletti, her grandchildren Kelly, John, Christian, Angela, Dina, Alexis and Mariella and 4 great grandchildren. Her loving brother Ernest Oriente and wife Jan and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 9:30AM to 10:30AM on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Avenue, Somerville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow to be celebrated at 11:00AM at The Church of The Immaculate Conception, 35 Mountain Avenue, Somerville.

Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery, Bridgewater.
