Marie L. Newman passed away on August 26, 2012. She was born to Thomas and Olive Taffin Newman in Plainfield, N.J. on January 11, 1915. After graduating from Bound Brook High School, Marie joined First National Bank of Central New Jersey and spent her entire career there. Marie’s life was filled with devotion to the Lord and her Catholic religion, which to her was an action word. Her love and devotion to family and friends were enormous and her real vocation was caring for others. She will be sorely missed by her niece, Marianne Nevin Dolan, her nephew, John Nevin, her cousins, Robin Casey and Tim Casey, and all of their families. A Mass will be held at 12:00 PM on September 6 at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 35 Mountain Avenue, Somerville, N.J. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to: Pont.
