Maria Dorothy Mostello

Maria D. Mostello, age 48, died on Monday, February 7, 2022.

She was born in Somerville, NJ, on January 8, 1974, and graduated from Somerville High School.

Maria was happiest when she had her hands in the earth, working on her flowerbeds. She was creative, artistic, generous, and soft-hearted. Maria saw beauty where others couldn't. She loved to read poetry, write letters, send cards, and go for long walks. She loved baking and had a major sweet tooth. As a child, Maria was a legendary snoop and could reliably locate any of her sisters' misplaced belongings.

Maria is survived by her child, Luca Mostello, who was the pride of her life; her parents, Robert and Raquel (Kelly) Mostello; her sisters Elizabeth Mostello-Harris (D. Thomas Harris), Laura Mostello (John Adams), and Carolyn Mostello (Jacob Kubel); nieces Olivia and Lillian Harris and Laila Mostello-Wetherbee; nephew Jessie Mostello-Kubel; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
