Maria DeBenedetto, 48, of Sommerville, passed away surrounded by her loving family and friends, Friday, August 22, 2014, at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital.
On July 24, 1966, in Orange, NJ,

Maria was born an angel of God. Some of Maria’s passions included bowling, working, playing jokes, wearing anything pink, painting her nails and most of all dancing. Her ability to light up a room with a smile, her character, charm and great wit willlive with us all forever. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her family, friendsand community.

Maria is survived by her Father, Michael DeBenedetto and Step-Mother Pat, Mother, Maryanne DeBenedetto, Sisters, Lisa, Danielle, Dana, Kimberly and Kelly, Brothers, Christopher, Michael David, extended family, Nonta, Margarita, Jay, Mickie, Terri, Julie, and many other Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held from 1 – 4 pm on Monday, August 25, 2014 at Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Ave., Somerville, NJ 08876. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at the Immaculate Conception Church, 35 Mountain Ave., Somerville. The burial to immediately follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ.
