Margaret Gallus entered into eternal life on September 5. She was the wife of the late James M. DiCarlo Sr. (first husband) and the late Jacob Gallus, Margaret was born in Newark and resided in Flemington most of her life. At a very early age, she began her working career in customer service, bookkeeping and sales. Of her many employments, she worked at Olivetti in Bridgewater and for many years as the store manager for Valleroy & Boch in Flemington until her retirement at age 80. Known for her homemade Italian cooking, Margaret made everyone feel most comfortable at her home whether they be family or friends. Surviving are her children James M. Di Carlo Jr., his wife Mary; Maryann DeStefano, her husband Joseph and Gregory J. DiCarlo, his wife Kathy. her grandchildren Nicole R., Jessica, Jamie, Miranda, Joe, Nicole N. and Vincent and great grandchildren James, Ryan, Nicholas, Lucille, Sophia, Charlotte and Jett. Visiting hours from 3-5pm and 7-9pm on Friday, September 8, and Saturday morning at 10:30am at the Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Noon on Saturday, September 9, at the Our Lady of the Mount Catholic Church, 167 Mt. Bethel Rd., Warren. Interment to follow at St. Magdalen Cemetery, Flemington.
