Mara (Cartoccio) Michinski entered into eternal life on Tuesday, February 24, 2015.

Born April 24, 1955 in Compobasso, Italy, Mara (Cartoccio) Michinski immigrated to the United States with her parents at the age of one.

Growing up for most of her life in Somerville, NJ with her parents and three siblings, Mara was a lover of life, her family and of Opera music. She shared her gift of voice with anyone that would listen, and would sing Happy Birthday to everyone on their special day.

More then her love of life and family or music was that of the Lord. Mara was rooted in a faith so deep that even during the most difficult of times she could find the strength to stay positive and never lose her faith.

Mara will be dearly missed by her family and many friends for her loving, compassionate way.
May she rest in eternal peace with the Lord.

Mara is preceded in death by her loving mother, who she now joins in eternal rest, Vincenza Cartoccio. She is survived by her father, Ennio Cartoccio; her longtime boyfriend, Vincent Burns; her sister Anna Maria (Cartoccio) Hanna and brother-in-law Jamal and children Alexandra (Goddaughter), Jamal and David; brother Ennio Cartoccio and sister-in-law Susan and children Jessica and fiancé Mike, Ennio and Elaine; and brother Michael Cartoccio and girlfriend Denise Cioffi and their children Michael, Christina, Daniel and Dina.

Donations may be made in Maras name to the American Diabetes Association.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 1, 2015 from 2-5pm at Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville, NJ.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, March 2, 2015 at 9:30 am at Immaculate Conception Church, Somerville, followed by burial at St. Bernards Cemetery, Bridgewater, NJ
