Louise C. Capozzi (nee DeMuzio), 94, of Bridgewater, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2014. Visiting is on Friday, December 26, 2014 at Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Avenue, Somerville,NJ from 5 to 7 PM (908-725-4100). Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial to be offered on Saturday, December 27, 2014, at 9:30 AM at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 35 Mountain Avenue, Somerville, NJ, followed by Entombment at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union NJ.


Louise was born in Castelluccio di Sauri, Italy, came to the US at age 3 and was raised and spent much of her married life in Newark NJ. She later moved to Shavertown PA, then to Bridgewater, NJ and then to Toms River. She retired from All-State Legal Supply, Springfield NJ, and previously worked for Lionel Corporation in Irvington/Hillside, NJ. Louise was predeceased by her parents, Luigi and Paolina (nee Ramella) DeMuzio, her sister, Rose (Di Martino), her brother, Luigi, her husband, Rudolph V. and herdaughter, Camille (McDermott). She is survived by her sisters, Anna (Greco) and Florence (Cotugno), of Bridgewater, NJ; by her grandsons, Patrick and Michael McDermott, of Wilkes-Barre, PA and Shavertown,PA, respectively; and by several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was a longtime devoted member of the St. Gerard Ladies’ Guild of St. Lucy’s Church/National Shrine of St Gerard, Newark, NJ.


Louise will always be remembered for her love of dancing and music. In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to Louise’s remembrance to St. Lucy’s Church (19-26 Ruggiero Plaza, Newark NJ 07104) or to St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital (501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105).
